Counted 14 ads for the same squatty potty in 3 days after one joke at a truck stop in Amarillo
Last week I made a dumb joke about my back hurting after a 600 mile haul into Amarillo, and my phone has been throwing weird stuff at me ever since. I counted 14 ads for the same squatty potty in 3 days, plus a thing called a toilet stool that looks like it was made in someone's garage. I get that the algorithm is just doing its job, but 14 is not a coincidence, that's a campaign. What got me was the timing, because I never typed the word stool anywhere, I just said it out loud in the cab. Now I'm half tempted to talk about winning the lottery and see if anything shows up. Has anyone else hit a number like that and figured out what set it off, because I can't pin down which app was listening?
