@skyler921, I have to disagree a bit here because I've managed to prevent burning before. (It took some trial and error, for sure.) The key is often in the preparation, like preheating properly or not overcrowding the pan. Timing is everything, and a little patience goes a long way. Once you figure out the right method, it becomes much easier to avoid those burnt results.
Man, I wish I had Robert's patience. My last attempt at scrambled eggs somehow turned into crunchy charcoal bits. Maybe I'm just destined to set off smoke alarms as my signature cooking move?
