Why does nobody talk about how much weight a single dead limb can actually drop?
Last week on a job in Phoenix, I cut a 4 foot dead oak limb that looked light and it landed with a thud that cracked the concrete driveway. I looked it up later and a dry limb that size can weigh over 80 pounds depending on the species. Has anyone else been surprised by how heavy deadwood gets?

I had a 3 foot mesquite limb land on my truck bed and it left a dent.
