I accidentally talked to a stranger like they were my old friend
I was at the park and saw someone who looked just like my buddy from college. I walked up and started reminiscing about our school days. When they turned around, I saw it was a person I had never met before. We both laughed and had a short, nice talk about the coincidence. What's your most awkward case of mistaken identity?

Oh man, that happens way more than people admit. I read once our brains are basically wired to see faces we know in crowds. Makes those mix-ups feel a bit less weird, you know?
