That "Dollar Sweets" guy who reviewed a servo pie in outback NSW got 4 million views... do we actually want viral food critics?
A bloke named Dean in Bourke filmed himself eating a 2 day old chiko roll from a roadhouse on the Barrier Highway and it blew up to 4 million views overnight, but half the comments were people planning road trips just to review the same servo. On one hand it's great that tiny towns are getting tourists, but on the other hand I feel bad for the poor kid working the counter who now has 500 people a day asking if the pie is "the one from the video." Is this the best or worst thing to happen to small town Aussie food, and should these viral reviewers be naming every spot they roast?
