My car got keyed in a Kroger parking lot and I spent 3 days figuring out how to keep it from happening again
So last Tuesday I came out of the Kroger on Maple Street with a cart full of groceries and found a foot long scratch down my driver side door. No note, no cameras pointed that way, nothing. I was so mad I sat in the car for 10 minutes just staring at it. The body shop quoted me $640 to repaint the door and I almost cried right there in the lobby. That weekend I went down a total rabbit hole on ways to protect the paint without breaking the bank. I ended up getting a cheap dash cam that stays on when parked and a cover for when I leave it overnight at my apartment. I know a cover is kind of a pain to put on every time but honestly it beats another $640 surprise. What do you all use to keep your car safe when you have to park somewhere sketchy?
