Serious question, did anyone else wax their whole car before realizing they were supposed to clay bar it first?
I spent about 4 hours last Saturday in my driveway in Akron hand waxing my truck. Looked great for maybe a week. Then I ran my hand over the hood after a rain and it felt like sandpaper. Buddy comes over, rubs it, laughs, and asks when I last clay barred it. I didn't know that was a thing you do before wax. He pulls out this grey bar and some spray and the stuff that came off the paint was nasty. I've been waxing over grit for who knows how long at this point. Do you clay every time or just once or twice a year? And do you have to re-wax right after?
