I figured the $250 deposit for a broker was a scam until my Corolla actually showed up in Denver
I needed to move my Corolla from Phoenix to Denver last month and the broker wanted a $250 deposit up front before they would even book a carrier, which felt like a straight up cash grab. I paid it anyway after reading their DOT number, and the car got picked up in 3 days and dropped off 5 days later with zero damage and no extra fees at delivery, deposit came right off the total. Is paying a deposit to a broker normal now or did I just get lucky with this one?
