Rant: dropped $280 on a used IFR-1500 from a guy in Tulsa and it showed up with a dead backlight
Met a guy off a Facebook avionics buy/sell group, drove 90 minutes to Tulsa to grab a used IFR-1500 for $280 cash. Got it home, powered it up, and the backlight was toast, screen was basically unreadable in daylight. Seller ghosted me the second I sent a photo of it. Test gear is the one thing I will never buy used again without a bench check or a video call, has anyone had luck getting a refund through PayPal for something like this?
