I stopped trying to make my posts go viral overnight
It was exhausting to keep up with every trend (and honestly, kind of pointless). Now I just post what I like and ignore the numbers, which is way more fun.

But doesn't tracking help you see what actually connects?

You say tracking shows you what connects. But what if the connections that matter are the ones you feel, not the ones you count? How do you track a real conversation that changes your mind, or a feeling that a post just gets you? The numbers might show a link, but they don't show why it clicked. So I guess my question is, are you looking for the connection, or just the proof that it happened?

So what happens when the numbers miss the point? Like when a post gets tons of likes but the one quiet comment is from a friend who actually got it and needed it. Or when you see a long thread and realize you changed your mind halfway through, but the data just shows you spent time there. Are we making the simple stuff too hard?
