I finally stopped sleeving every single card in my collection

Used to sleeve every board game card I owned, even the ones that barely get touched. Changed my mind after realizing I spent $40 on sleeves for a game I played twice in 3 years. Anyone else ever just let cards go bare?

You ever just watch a friend go through the exact same realization? My buddy Mark spent like 60 bucks on premium sleeves for a game he was absolutely obsessed with for about two months. Now that game sits on his shelf collecting dust and he refuses to even open it because he feels like he wasted all that money on protection for something he doesn't even play anymore. He told me he learned his lesson the hard way and now he only sleeves games he knows he'll play at least once a month. I thought it was funny at first but now I'm starting to see his point after my own wallet took a hit.
