Vent: watched a guy at the Local 146 shop tack a joint with the wrong rod and it stuck with me
Was at the Local 146 training shop in Edmonton last month for a refresher. Old timer next to me grabbed a 7018 when the spec called for 6010 on the root. He stopped himself, laughed, and said "that would have been a $400 rework." I started laying out my rods on a scrap plate before every pass now, no exceptions. Anyone else pick up a habit from watching someone almost screw up?
