Bought a $70 soil test kit and it showed me I was watering all wrong
I kept having issues with my indoor ferns looking weak. I figured it was light, but the kit showed the pH was way off and I was over-fertilizing. The kit was a bit pricey, but it saved me from killing more plants. Anyone else find a simple tool that changed how you care for your plants?

Honestly, a cheap moisture meter was a total game changer for me. It stopped me from just guessing and drowning my succulents on a schedule. That little probe thing is way smarter than I am about when to actually water.

Stopped me from just guessing" is so real. I used to kill every fern I owned by watering on a set day. Now I just stick my finger in the dirt and feel for dryness, which feels way less fancy than a meter but works for me. Do you find the meter works better for certain plant types?

My buddy swore by his meter for his fiddle leaf fig. Then he forgot to take it out before a long weekend, came back to it rusted right into the pot.
