Spent 3 weeks fighting the city over a fence permit on my corner lot

Put up a 4 foot cedar fence along the side of my place off 102nd. Thought I could just build it since it was under 6 feet. Turns out Bothell has a setback rule for corner lots and I needed a survey plus a permit. Cost me $600 for the survey and 3 weeks of back and forth with the planning office before they approved it. Anyone know if the board has a handout on fence rules for corner lots? Would save me a headache if I ever do the back side.
