Took me 3 days to notice the "collab" email had a typo in my name

Got a brand deal offer from a 'Skincare Co' asking to send me $400 worth of product, but they spelled my handle as @adam_greeen with three e's. I spent a whole afternoon responding back and forth before I realized the email was from some random Gmail account, not the actual company. Has anyone else wasted hours on a fake collab before checking the sender's address?

Wait, are you seriously complaining about getting free stuff? Let me flip this around for a second. The scammers spelled your name wrong, which is honestly the best filter you could ask for. If they had gotten it right, you might have actually fallen for it and sent them your bank info or something. Plus, you spent an afternoon talking to them, so they clearly had you hooked. Thats on you for not checking the sender address in the first ten seconds. Real brands have proper domains, not random Gmail accounts, and that takes like one quick look to spot. Maybe the real issue here is that you wanted that $400 worth of product so bad you ignored all the red flags.
