Switched from a 4 foot level to a laser on a 2 story chimney job in Tulsa, still not sure I trust it
For 12 years I set every corner with a 4 foot Stabila and my own eyes, and last month I finally broke down and bought a rotary laser because the homeowner kept asking how I knew it was straight. The laser says my old work was off by about 3/8 of an inch over 18 feet, which is either proof the level was lying or proof my eyes were. Any of you gone all in on lasers or do you still keep the level as the final word?
