Vent: my sister swears dried beans are the only cheap protein, but canned beans saved me $14 last month
My sister kept pushing me to soak dried black beans overnight because they cost $1.29 a bag, but between throwing out two burnt pots and losing a whole Sunday, I was miserable. Last month I switched to canned beans at 89 cents each from the Aldi on 5th and my grocery bill for taco night dropped by $14, mostly because I stopped buying takeout after ruined dinners. Does anyone else think the dried bean thing is way overblown for people with normal schedules?
