Stuff like this happens all the time now. Slang moves so fast that older folks just can't keep up. Remember when "on fleek" confused everyone? Or how "sussy" from games ended up in real talk? Why do we even bother with new words if they just cause mix-ups? It's like every generation has its own secret code that bosses and parents never crack. But then again, maybe that's the whole point.

My dad still says 'groovy' like it's normal. It's so awkward it hurts. Once he tried to use 'lit' and said the party was 'lit up' like a Christmas tree.
