PSA: I saw a resume go from 0 callbacks to 5 interviews in 3 weeks, and the fix was boring
My buddy Rick sent out 60 resumes from January to March and got zero calls back, not even a rejection email. I sat down with him and we cut his two page resume down to one page and moved his actual numbers up top: cut ticket times 18 percent, handled $2M in accounts, trained 6 new hires. Same jobs, same words mostly, just the results first instead of a list of duties. Three weeks later he had 5 phone screens and 2 offers. The kicker is he had those numbers written in a notebook the whole time, he just thought nobody cared about them. What is the one line on your resume that shows a real number, and why is it not at the top yet?
