Wait, they actually told you a lower salary was good for your experience? How does that math even work out for them? That's like saying you should pay for the chance to work somewhere. Sounds like they sold you a bad deal wrapped up in fancy words. Honestly that kind of thing makes me mad, because they know people want to get ahead. Yeah and it's not just jobs, it's everywhere now. They get you with the "exposure" or "building your brand" thing instead of paying properly. Saw it with unpaid internships, then freelance gigs, now even normal jobs pull this. It turns basic fairness upside down where you're supposed to feel lucky to be used. Feels like a whole scam they made up so they don't have to pay people what they're worth.
