Almost lost two fingers to a kickback on a table saw in my own garage last Tuesday
I was ripping a 2x4 down to a 1 inch strip on my old Craftsman in the garage, no riving knife because I'd been lazy about putting it back on after a blade change. The board pinched, grabbed, and shot back so fast I didn't even see it move, and my left hand was right behind the blade when it happened. I killed the power, checked my fingers (all there, just a nasty scrape on my knuckle), and spent the next hour putting the riving knife back on and ordering a push block and featherboard. Please check your safety gear before your next cut, that board came within an inch of my hand. What push stick setup are you all running that actually feels solid?
