Saw a 90 year old hand-cut dovetail at a barn in Lancaster and felt like a rookie
Stopped at an old barn outside Lancaster, PA last month and the owner showed me a chest his granddad built in 1932. Every dovetail was cut by hand, tight as can be, no filler and no gaps after all those decades. I've been running a router jig for 15 years and mine still don't look that clean. Anyone else ever get humbled by old work like that, or is it just me?
