Had a talk with a builder that changed my layout approach
Been running base and stretch ins for 8 years around Columbus, always did my seams going the same direction until last Thursday. This old school builder watched me lay out a living room and asked why I wasn't breaking the pattern at doorways. He said he's seen 30 years of callbacks come from seams walking down hallways. Honestly, his point about traffic flow and where the light hits hit different. I redid my layout on the next job, split it at the threshold, zero ripple so far. Anyone else ever get a tip from a builder or GC that made you question your whole method?
