DAE catch themselves calling every good thing "solid" until a buddy asked me what it even means?
I noticed last week I used "solid" to describe a burger, my new tires, a movie, and a guy's haircut, all in one day. Then my buddy Dave at the bar in Cleveland asked me point blank what solid even meant, and I couldn't give him a straight answer. I'd picked it up from a cook at my last job maybe 8 months back and never thought about it once. So now I'm wondering if I'm the only one running this word into the ground or if it's still got life left in it. What's your take, still useful or should I retire it?
