Moved back to the South Side after 3 years in the suburbs, feels different now
Last month my wife and I finally left Naperville and rented a two bedroom off 95th and Western, near where I grew up. I swear the old corner store on 93rd is gone and there's a new taco joint, but the train schedule is still the same mess it was back in 2019. We moved out there for my old job's parking lot, but now I work from home and we wanted to be closer to my mom who's getting older. Anyone else come back to a neighborhood that half changed and half didn't? How long did it take to feel like home again?

Oh man, took me a YEAR and a half to stop looking for the old Walgreens that turned into a vape shop. Still feels like I'm visiting my own childhood half the time.
