Signing day disaster in Logan Square, my lease almost fell through
I found a great 2-bedroom near the Blue Line for $1,850, which felt like a steal for the area. On move-in day, the landlord said the previous tenant never moved out and he couldn't hand over keys for another week. I ended up paying $750 for a week in an AirBnB near O'Hare while my stuff sat in a U-Haul. Has anyone else dealt with a last-minute landlord backout here, and did you get your deposit back right away or was it a fight?
