Showerthought: hit 500 brushings in my logbook on Tuesday and the number that actually shocked me was the soot weight
Honestly I keep a little notebook in the van and I wrote down my 500th brushing on Tuesday, which on its own felt like a normal day. But when I added up the creosote weights for the year it came to 180 pounds off 62 homes in the Fairmount area, and I thought that math had to be off. Turns out most of it came from just 8 fireplaces that had never been touched, some going back well over a decade. I'm wondering if anyone else weighs their sweepings or if I'm just being a nerd about it.
