Let a new guy set the feeds and speeds on a 4140 job and the tool lasted twice as long as mine

I was ready to jump in when he dropped the SFM way below what I'd run for years, but the insert came out looking almost new after 40 parts. Guess I've been burning tools out of habit instead of checking the numbers. Anyone else get humbled by a greenhorn running conservative speeds?
