Told a client their PC was fixed, then Windows Update undid it 20 minutes later
Had a client drop off a laptop last Tuesday that kept booting to a black screen, turned out a bad driver update was the culprit so I rolled it back and it booted fine. I ran updates one more time just to be safe, handed it over, and got a call 20 minutes later saying it was black again. Same driver, pushed right back down from Microsoft. I learned to pause updates on that machine before returning it, cost me a second trip across town for free. Anyone else getting bitten by updates re-breaking stuff you just fixed?
