That offshore jackup in the Gulf taught me to double-check the boom angle sensor every morning
Swinging a 90-ton load at 6 a.m. off a rig near Port Fourchon, the sensor read 10 degrees off and I almost hit the helideck, so now I check it with a manual level before first lift, anyone else seen these sensors drift after a storm?
