Borrowed framing nailer changed my mind about buying cheap tools

I spent years using a $99 pneumatic nailer from the big box store, figured it was good enough since I only frame a couple walls a month for my side builds. My buddy let me use his cordless framing nailer last weekend on a garage project outside Boise, and honestly I almost refused because I hate battery tools. But it drove 3-1/2 inch nails flush into engineered lumber without a single jam, and I ran 200 nails on one charge. Now I'm looking at dropping $400 on one, which I swore I'd never do after getting burned on a cheap cordless drill back in 2019. Anyone else been converted by a borrowed tool, or am I just weak?
