Walked my old build site in Austin after 3 years, felt weird
The house we framed up in 2022 finally sold and the new owners redid the whole backyard, put in a pool where I remember arguing with the client about drainage. Seeing the place without our crew there kinda hit different, anyone else drive by old jobs and get that strange feeling?

The weirdest part is how the place remembers you but you don't remember it, you know? Like all those late nights and busted knuckles got baked into the concrete, but the house just sits there with new people making new memories. That pool probably covers up half the arguments we had about grading, and honestly that's kind of the point of building stuff, it's supposed to outlive the mess.
