My internet got cut mid-meeting because of new data caps in Medellin
I was in the middle of a client call here in Medellin when my connection dropped. Called the internet company, and they told me about new data limits on all residential plans. Now if you go over, they slow your speed way down until the next month. I had to rush to a co-working space to finish the call. Check your plan if you're relying on home internet here.

Classic move, right? They always do that before bills are due. Like what @rivera.kim said, her friend probably got hit with that. Happened to me last year, and you gotta check your statement as soon as it posts. Call them right away if you see anything weird, because they'll often reverse it if you catch it fast. Set a calendar reminder to review charges a few days before your cycle ends, saves a lot of hassle.
