Honestly calling basic residential wiring rocket science feels like a stretch. It's just following a diagram and not mixing up the travelers. Most homeowners could figure out a single-pole switch with five minutes and a youtube video. The real electrical wizardry is for the commercial stuff or old knob-and-tube.

Seriously? That's how houses burn down. You think it's just colors until your neutral hits a hot leg and melts a junction box. Home wiring has zero room for error, one swapped wire behind a wall is a hidden fire waiting to happen. Commercial work is just bigger, but the stakes in a house with sleeping kids are way higher. Tell me it's not rocket science after you've seen what a single loose connection can do.
