I feel guilty for praising a gadget that violates user privacy

My latest review was for a budget smartwatch that seemed great. Turns out it has hidden software that tracks everything you do and sells the info. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Privacy groups listed that smartwatch in a report two weeks ago. Your review probably highlighted its good points, which are still valid. Adding a disclaimer about the tracking software would address the guilt... and help readers.

My friend bought it before the report and feels gross now, like @charles_taylor58 said.

Ugh, that report is such a bummer. I remember feeling torn reading it, because you're right, the watch itself is great. Adding a clear note about the tracking stuff is totally the move, it lets people decide for themselves.
