Vent: My Rome trip was haunted by that pasta making TikTok sound

I was at a quiet little trattoria, trying to enjoy my meal, when the table next to me started filming with that 'fresh pasta' audio clip that's been everywhere. It happened again at two more spots, with people doing the same hand motions. I ended up asking the waiter about it, and he just shrugged like it was normal now. So much for a peaceful dinner, but I guess that's travel these days.

Is that sound following people everywhere now? I had a similar vibe at a quiet bakery (with someone doing the exact same hand motions for croissants, no joke) and it totally killed the atmosphere. It's like we can't escape these trends even during what should be a chill time.

Think about this, @anna652. In my experience, these trends come and go, and they don't always ruin the moment. Your mileage may vary, but ignoring them helps keep the atmosphere chill. Take this with a grain of salt, but maybe we're just noticing it more. So, while I see your point, I question if it's really that serious.
