inMy accountant friend said my bullet journal is basically a manual database
Wow, calling a notebook a database is a real stretch.

inRushing the drying step warped my latest journal, so I'm slowing down now
You mentioned rushing the drying step warped your journal, so what part did you speed up? I've found that even a little hurry can mess up the paper. How are you slowing down now?

inI finally figured out how to make my detail views less messy.
Worry we're making too big a deal out of this sometimes. I mean, yeah a messy drawing is annoying, but shouldn't a good fabricator be able to figure it out? They see this stuff all day. Maybe it's just me, but getting a project delayed over some extra lines feels like a stretch. It sounds more like your shop was looking for someone to blame. It's a basic skill for sure, but kinda wild it caused that much trouble.

inDecades in, I still avoid power stretchers on most jobs
Have you ever watched a power stretcher fight with a wavy subfloor? It's like giving a toddler a sledgehammer. Sure, it's fast, but you're just asking for seams to blow up later. I stick with the knee kicker because I actually like my carpets to stay put for more than a season. That hand stretch might take an extra hour, but it means no callbacks when the floor settles. My method is simple: if the floor isn't perfect, the tool shouldn't be either, so I'll take the slower win every time.

inMy PR agency's rush to comply with neighborhood data laws
Doesn't it seem like every small board now wants to control things they don't really get? You're right, @baker.stella, it's like they forget their actual job and start making rules about stuff they know nothing about. I see this all the time with local groups trying to handle tech or business issues.
