Can we talk about the elevator inspection tags in Chicago?

Honestly this feels like a reach lmao. Half the tags in any big building in this city are probably faded or peeling off. Those stickers sit there for years getting sun bleached and rubbed on by people's jackets. The actual inspection records are probably digital somewhere or on a clipboard that gets filed. My old office on LaSalle had a tag from 2019 that looked completely blank and the elevator ran fine every day. Not saying skip inspections but a faded sticker is just a sticker.

Just realized I was wasting time with the power stretcher on small room jobs

Respectfully, I see this a little different. A power stretcher is about consistency and saving your body over time, not just tightness on one job. Hand stretching a single 10x12 might feel fine the first week, but you risk it relaxing or shifting during the first big temperature change. I have seen too many calls backs on rooms where guys skipped the power stretcher to save a few minutes. The setup hassle is real, sure, but once you get a rhythm with it the time difference is not that big. A good knee kicker pass is important, but it just cannot match the even tension you get from a power stretcher on the whole field. For me, small rooms are where the power stretcher really earns its keep since that is where seams and bubbles show up the easiest.

Pro tip: waxing your thread changed my whole approach to sewing

Whoa, slow down there with the beeswax and pine resin talk! You're making me feel real guilty over here still using the basic wax block that came with my starter kit three years ago. I bet your threads don't even know what bunching means, they're too busy being all smooth and fancy on those thick spines. Meanwhile mine are throwing a little tantrum every time I hit a signature section.

Switched from drip irrigation to soaker hoses after losing a whole bed of tomatoes

Soaker hoses changed everything for me once I figured out the right setup. You really need to lay them out straight and keep the water pressure low or they turn into a mess. Another thing is to bury them under a couple inches of mulch so they don't dry out in the sun. Just remember to check them every few weeks for clogs or pinched spots. Once you get that down you barely have to touch them all season.

I finally stopped ignoring my swing radius after 12 years on the job

Nah, I disagree - measuring everything just slows you down and experience counts for more.
