inRant: I just hit 1,000 hours on my spray booth filter timer
Had a filter on my old truck that looked like it fought in a war. Just swapped it out for a fresh one and the difference was night and day. Engine stopped groaning and actually had some power again. Sometimes you just forget how bad it's gotten until you fix it. Cheap part, but the change felt huge.

inMy comic book storage system went from a shoebox to a full spreadsheet
Man, I could never do that @the_avery. My back hurts just thinking about moving all those boxes. I'd have to sell them or finally get some shelves.

inPSA: I finally gave up on my old canvas tent after a rainy weekend in the Smokies
Man, I gotta disagree with you there, @alexc93. My Big Agnes tent soaked through on a wet Oregon coast trip last fall. Switched to a Hilleberg for that kind of weather and haven't looked back.

inAppreciation post: The coffee shop in Portland that only serves pour-over from a single farm for a whole month
Yeah, totally see what you're saying. The good roaster in my town always puts the roast date right on the bag, front and center. It makes a huge difference knowing how fresh it is. I've bought from places that don't do that and the coffee just tastes... flat, you know? It feels like they're hiding something. That little date stamp builds a lot of trust for me.

inHad a guy bring in a bike with a stripped crank bolt in Denver
Used to swear by the extractor kits, but had one snap off inside a bolt on an old Campy crank. That was a real bad day. Now, if it's totally gone, I just weld a nut right onto the stump of the bolt. The heat from the weld breaks everything loose anyway, and then you've got a fresh hex to crank on. Saves so much time and headache.
