inHeard a customer at the shop call a lens a 'glass tube'
Isn't it funny how we all have our own words for things? I love hearing stuff like that, it really makes you step back. I usually just say the part that lets the light in got cleaned or straightened out, so the picture looks clear again. It's tough to leave out all the techy details when you're used to them, but it feels good to make it simple for someone.

inWarning: A client begged me to fake water damage on their new table
Hold up, you'd actually pressure wash new wood just because someone asked? That feels like a mechanic putting sugar in a gas tank because the owner asked for a "sweet ride." Where do you draw the line between giving a customer what they want and doing something you know is wrong for the material?

inI thought wrapping brisket in foil was a total cheat until last weekend
Watched my own "perfect" foil-wrapped brisket turn into a sad, steamed pot roast last year, so I feel this. Switched to paper myself and it's like the difference between a soggy sandwich and actual barbecue. My grill now produces meat that holds its shape instead of just falling apart in a puddle. Still kind of mad about all the years I spent being a foil loyalist, to be honest.

inThis cafe job is making me doubt standard glass thickness charts
That bakery window flex must have been a sight. I can just picture someone getting their morning croissant while watching the glass wobble like a funhouse mirror. Honestly, if a window can handle a 50 mph gust and a giant cookie display, my patio door is probably fine. Makes you wonder what else in a building is secretly doing a little dance.

inPaid $200 for a 'client magnet' course that was just recycled blog posts
Ugh that's so frustrating, did they at least give a refund when you called them out? Those recycled info products are everywhere now. Honestly the best leads I ever got were just from talking to people in online communities for niches I actually knew about. The paid groups and courses are usually just selling the dream of easy money.
