Vent: I lost $150 on that 'historic' ghost tour in Old Town

My sister was in town and I thought it would be a fun local thing to do. We paid for the premium evening tour, but it was just a guy reading from a script and pointing at buildings. It felt like a total tourist trap and lasted maybe 45 minutes. Has anyone else had a bad experience with a local tour, or know a better one that's actually worth the money?

Ugh, that's such a letdown for that much money. I got burned on a food tour last year that was just a guy handing out samples from a grocery store. It's crazy how many of these are just lazy cash grabs. Reading the one-star reviews is the only way to see the real story sometimes. You'd think they'd at least try to make it fun for the price.

Yeah, I've learned to check those the hard way, @jenkins.tyler. My last "adventure" tour mostly involved waiting for a bus that never came. It's a solid tip to just read the bad reviews first.
