Why does nobody talk about the wait at the DMV on Coors?

I went to renew my license last Tuesday, figured I'd be out in an hour. Nope, 3 hours and 20 minutes just to get to the counter, and the kiosk outside was down too. Has anyone else tried the new appointment system, or is it still just a free-for-all?

Did you catch that article last month about the state switching to a booking system for everything? I mean, I tried making an appointment online and the earliest slot was like two weeks out, which kinda defeats the purpose if you need something urgent. It honestly still feels like a lottery, just with extra steps now.
