Update: that $60 posture corrector from an ad burned me, my chiropractor in Phoenix was not shocked
A video ad got me 4 months back, showing some guy standing up straight and feeling great, so I dropped $60 on it. I wore that thing 2 hours a day for 3 weeks, my ribs hurt, and my chiropractor in Phoenix said to ditch it and just stretch. Did anyone else fall for one of these, or is it just me?
Something to keep in mind, a posture corrector is not really made to fix your posture long term. It just holds your shoulders back while you wear it, so the muscles that should be doing that work get lazy and weak over time. That is probably why your ribs hurt and why your chiro told you to ditch it, since stretching and actually building those muscles is what helps. The ads make it look like a magic fix but the thing basically does the job for you instead of teaching your body to do it. 60 bucks is a rough way to learn that lesson though, lol. You are for sure not the only one who got got by those videos.
