Can we talk about how my CPA went from $45 to $18 after I finally switched off automatic placements?

I ran the same $200/day budget for my ecom client for 90 days, and the only change was moving from letting the platform decide where to show ads to manually picking just two specific social feeds, which cut my cost per acquisition in half and has me debating if smart automation is always smarter than old-school manual control.

Yeah it's wild how often the "smart" settings just burn cash. Makes you wonder if they're really optimized for your results or just... platform engagement.

I spent maybe $200 last month on those "optimized" campaigns and got like three clicks. @the_mia might be onto something with the engagement thing, but honestly I just think the algorithms are kind of dumb sometimes. They don't really know my customers like I do. It feels like throwing money at a problem and hoping it sticks.
