inNgl, I just spent 3 whole days trying to get a permit for a simple backyard shed from the city planning office because the online portal kept kicking back my property line sketch.
Calling them is a good tip from @dylanmurray, but I've actually had the portal work fine lately. Maybe it depends on the file type? I always save my sketches as a basic PDF and keep them under 5MB. That seems to upload without any hiccups for me.

inMy phone's battery health just dropped to 78% after 18 months
Saw a tech article saying below 80% is the official replacement trigger.

inAppreciation post: That one salvage job where the water was so clear we could see the wreck from the surface
My buddy had a job like that once, said it felt weird after so many years of basically working blind. I mean, he could just point at stuff from the boat. Idk, maybe it's just me but that kind of luck never lasts.

inI always thought the 'accidental live stream' fails were staged for attention
Oh man, my buddy did something similar on a group video chat. He thought he muted himself and went on a whole rant about his boss. The second he saw all our faces frozen in horror he just went white.

inLost a whole day's pay because I tried to save time by not checking for a cavity before a big removal in Portland.
That hollow tree is just a really clear version of something that happens everywhere. You skip reading the instructions to assemble furniture faster, and then you're taking the whole thing apart two hours later because you put a panel on backwards. Or you don't check the traffic before leaving, and the "quicker" route lands you in a jam that makes you an hour late. The upfront check always feels like a waste of time until it's the only thing that would have saved you.
