That local plumber ad with the real messy bathroom beat the fancy jingle ad by a mile last week
Saw two ads side by side on my feed last week for plumbers in Fort Worth. One was a slick 30 second spot with a jingle and a smiling family in a spotless kitchen. The other was a guy filming himself in an actual gross bathroom with a bucket, saying "this is what a real clog looks like, call me." I clicked the gross one without thinking twice. The polished ad gave me nothing to hold onto, but the messy one felt like a guy who would show up. Has anyone else noticed the ugly, real looking ones pulling them in way more than the shiny ones?
The rough ones get me every time. Watched a guy demo a clogged drain with his bare hands and I booked him on the spot. Something about seeing the actual mess makes me trust they've dealt with it before.
