I used to scroll past any ad the second it felt salesy, but about 5 months ago I started saving the worst ones to a folder on my phone. Last week a local mattress place in Spokane ran a spot where the owner just stares at the camera for 8 seconds before saying one line, and I replayed it 4 times. The weird part is I can actually tell you why it works now, it sticks in your head way longer than the slick ones. I showed it to my crew and two of them remembered the phone number, so maybe cringe beats polished. What's the last ad you hated but still remembered the name of?
