PSA: that loud local mattress ad everyone hates is actually the only one I remember after 3 weeks
I read a comment thread in r/advertising last Friday where everyone was dunking on a local mattress spot that runs during every single news break, and someone said "if it annoys you it failed." I don't buy that at all. There are 4 mattress stores within 2 miles of me in Fresno and I can only name the one with the guy yelling about $299 queen sets, and that's the whole point of buying that much airtime. Annoying and forgettable are two different things, and I'd bet most people mad online about that ad still knew the store name and the price. So what's the last ad you hated but could still repeat word for word a month later?
