Drove 2 hours to meet a rescue beagle named Biscuit, came home with a 9 month old pit mix instead
Last Saturday I drove up to a shelter in Allentown to meet Biscuit, a beagle I'd been watching on their site for 3 weeks. When I got there, a worker named Dana told me Biscuit had already gone home that morning, then walked me past a kennel where this skinny pit mix was just sitting there staring at me. I took her out to the little yard, she leaned her whole body weight against my legs, and that was it, her name is Nugget now. Has anyone else gone in for one dog and walked out with a totally different one?
My buddy went to look at a lab puppy and came home with some 8 year old chihuahua that hated men. The dog picked him, not the other way around. Nugget knew what she was doing.
