Am I the only one who dropped $45 on a beat up Lite-Brite at a garage sale and actually got my money's worth
It only had half the pegs and the box smelled like basement, but my niece and I sat on the floor for two hours making a lopsided rainbow while her tablet charged in the other room, and honestly that was the best $45 I have burned on nostalgia in a long time, so what is the dumbest amount you have paid for a childhood toy that still made you smile?
The basement smell detail is killing me because every single one of these old toys has that same musty thing going on and somehow it just adds to the whole trip down memory lane. What got me though is you said her tablet was charging in the other room, so was the Lite-Brite the thing that actually pulled her away from the screen, or was she already bored and you just handed her the next best option? Because that makes a big difference in whether this was a win for you or a win for both of you. Also where did you even find pegs for the missing half, or did you two just roll with the gaps and call it art?
